Display Case
Re: Display Case
Well now that this project is complete, mounted on the wall and filled with many of your other projects its status has changed from awesome to spectacular! It’s beautiful and I agree with you and mags regarding the color of the leather. Works perfectly.

Great job again, thanks for taking us along. I see that you left room for more knives. Future projects to look forward to.

Re: Display Case
A last couple pictures... I had added the trim to the side of the case, and temporarily used double sided tape until I could get the small compressor and the pinner in to attach it. Did that today. The trim is just to hide the cleats from view when someone comes in the door... Turns out they were Glaringly obvious.
Looks good though, and the trim matches pretty well. Doesn't grab the attention or anything.
Spent a couple hours on Sunday working in the shop, as a maid. I swept, vacuumed, detailed the benches and tables, threw out the trash and small bits and pieces, moved some of the stuff away from the walls and swept, and found where mice had dug into the spray foam. I sprayed a thick stream of Tina's special bug spray around the perimeter to stop the dang beetles that plague the Oklahoma area and came back this morning and swept up again. Found a mouse laid out. Boom.
Sprayed again.
Shop looks good, now time to make a knife... look for the build along if you like. If enough want to watch, I'll do one.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.
