Do you use pins like the first guy or welded on carbide? My farrier used the welded on carbide and it really helped in icy conditions. Ruby had pretty bad arthritis in her knees when she was older so didn't get ridden in the winter and not a lot the rest of the year so she went barefoot.

I have used both, carbide is grippy for sure just have to watch you don't cut your hand on them when picking out the hoof.

I don't know how widely it's enforced but not all led headlight upgrades are legal in Canada. I've upgraded to led low and high beam led's in my '06 Miata and am pretty sure it's not legal but judging from the extreme brightness of most new cars and trucks headlights and driving/fog lights I'm not too worried about being pulled over for them. Also see a lot of 4 wheelers with full-on off road lights which are technically illegal to install unless the vehicle is only driven off-road.

The Miata's low to the ground and no one has been flashing their lights at me.

The big lifted trucks with very bright lights are kind of hard on me being so low to the ground but what really p****s me off is when you're sitting at a stop and they pull up about 2 inches from your bumper so you really get the full impact of their lights, they're usually the same one's that love to tailgate.
