Here's a fellow that was fishing the same pond as I was a few years ago. He and his buddy were fishing on a pretty cool pontoon boat. They made their own lures. I talked with them for quite a while. They were good guys to say the least.

One of me and the neighbors from our fishing trip on Lake Erie. All are Marines except me, with the Navy cap, second from the right. The best neighbors anyone could ever have. Fish are silver bass and walleye. This was an average day, we have had some better and some worse.

Nice little citation class river smallie.
Edited to add. This fish was CPR!
Catch, Photo, Release! River Smallmouth bass are slow to mature. The huge ones are usually breeding females well over a dozen years old. Smallies go back in the water for me.

walleye fishing on Lake Albert in South Dakota .... we put the boat in just after 2:00 pm fished for about 4 hours ... pictured below are the 7 walleye we brought back ... the limit is 4 per person per day .... we caught and threw back a good dozen small ones and lost three that were as large or larger than the biggest in the picture below .... it is amazing how tired I can get after spending a few hours on the water .... all in all, a very nice day in the neighborhood ..
