Well that's what it looks like to me and whatever it hits will be mush :o The Black Butterfly 500 gr. round rated at 1025 FPS.

Test rifle was my Marlin 1895 for accurate shot placement from 15 yds. into the two Ballistic gel blocks. Later after judging the recoil I shot a couple thru the Mules Leg and the kick no worse than my mild 405 gr. Unique loads but boy does it ever carry a nasty cutting punch!
Test shots on target show it hits exactly where the 405 gr. Unique load hits as you can see on test target! 18 1/2 inch penetration with what acts as a 1 1/2 inch diameter hole saw!!!! :o  That 500 gr. weight pushes it thru and the cartridge looks like any other ordinary jacketed 45-70 round at same standard COL. Feeds fine in both carbines and I will order another box of them! They will be a SD load in the Mules Leg!
In the video check the smoke coming from the exit hole in the 2nd gel block! :o https://youtu.be/bT-xIW2xdbU?si=LzU81eSF_ajUa7e3

Looks like some kind of alien parasite that will latch onto you.
(or drive deep inside you at even moderate velocities....LOL)

What surprised me was how soft those rounds shot given the 500 gr. weight and speed. Be interesting to know what type powder and amount they used.
