Range video Henry BB 357/38

I'm still working the kinks out of my shooting with the Henry Big Boy. Getting used to the iron sight is trying me.

I thought that you did great. It looked like you moved your rear sight to the right and then you were "right on."?

I'm also wondering if you were adjusting your sights or your aiming point .... it was noted that you were using 125 gr bullets .... if you've fired other weights, how did they compare

25-yard targets results are just fine for first time out. I would hang it up on my target display wall I have in my garage!

And looks like "you won" as the iron sights were trying you...the kinks are smoothing out. ;)

That target is pronounced dead at the scene. Good shooting. Yes the open sights are a challenge.

Great video. Do you use a nose/thumb weld?

I had never thought about "the nose/thumb weld" thing, but I will have to see where my thumb comes over the stock the next time I shoot it.
Thanks.

The smaller calibers don't kick so much that you can't use the nose/thumb weld but I wouldn't try it on a 45-70. My guess is that you have shot an AR in the Air Force and its very much like it when you allow you nose to touch the charging handle.
