Range Report: Charger Mare’s Leg

Post by Sir Henry » Mon Mar 03, 2025 8:24 am

This is another one of my favorite plinkers. It was born a Charger and I made it into a Mare’s Leg. It has a Hornet trigger and wears a Weaver 2.5-7x28 scope. It’s one of the last Weavers made in the USA.

I shoot it like it was a rifle. Since it’s a semi I don’t have to cock it like my Henry. With a rifle you can work the lever with it shouldered. With the lever M’sL you need to lower the butt to be able to work the lever. So being a semi I don’t have to get back on target each time. This pistol might look weird but it’s very practical for what it is.

I agree on the Charger. Great choice for the ML mod.

Pretty cool mare's leg. But............the other mare's legs have holsters, does this one?

Either way, it's neat.

No holster but it does fit in the Henry Youth rifle case. The SGC is too long.

That's a nice case. Nice little selection of firearms too.
