Having been a member of other forums for years, and having recently purchased a Henry Big Boy in 41 Magnum, it occurred to me that i should maybe see if there was a forum for Henry owners. Did a google search, and here I am.

Glad you joined us NIS. I too joined after purchasing my first Henry and I'm glad I found this forum. It's the place to be if you're a Henry owner.
Enjoy the forum, and your rifle.

I never had much interest in Henry until this week when I became the owner of a Henry Big boy Mare’s Leg. I did some google searches about adjusting lever spring tension and then just typed Henry forum in the search bar and it took me here!

How did I learn about HRF's existence?
Oh man, that takes me back. It was late summer some years ago. I'd just gotten out of a sticky situation, and no, I'm not telling you whose sister it was. A gentleman has class.
There I was, taking a late evening stroll down a long country dirt road.
You know the type, small washboard ripples. The sides are overgrown with grasses. The fences are in near disrepair, with peeling paint. A hedge row of trees so thick that the branches enclose the space above and beside the road.
I came upon this four-way crossroads; it was an uncanny place. All four corners were hedged in by the trees along the road. The only space open to the wide world beyond was right there in the center of the crossroads.
The sunset above me was mesmerizing, a kaleidoscope of oranges, pinks, and variegated blues. I stood there transfixed and watched as the shapes and colors of God's great world passed me by.
A Woman approached and asked me what I wanted in life; that a deal could be made. She said it with such temptation that I nearly caved. I stayed silent and continued to watch as the last of the day's sunlight faded into the deep purple of a night's sky festooned with the Milky Way galaxy.
I'd not seen it since I was a child. We had moved to the city so early in my life that I'd never had a chance to see it in person. The rarity of seeing the Milky Way again, a sight I'd only seen in my childhood, nearly brought me to tears. I ignored the woman and stared at the wonder of it all.
The lady broached the offer again as a bit of cloud cover obscured the stars. I turned to find a woman lit by what little moonlight there was. Pale, certainly more attractive than a man like me deserves, but she is out of place here on this dusty road. I provided a slight smile as the cloud cover above moved away, more of the moonlight shown upon her.
I turned back to my stars and understood the grandeur of life's small blessings. "I've been so busy of late," I whispered.
"What do you desire? " she whispered in my ear. I'll not lie; her warm breath aroused all kinds of thoughts. But, once again, the stars and God's great plan drew my attention away from her.
I must have remained silent for too long; her presence faded from my side. The wonders of the universe unveiled their secrets to me as I watched the night sky in the center of that crossroads.
Then the truck hit me. I woke up two days later in the hospital. I had three broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a broken wrist, and a shattered leg. I found you all here at HRF while surfing my phone...

I tend to look for forums which are dedicated to my pursuits. Colored pencil drawing, woodworking, fly tying and fly fishing and shooting. I’m interest in single shot and bolt action firearms. I like the simplicity, ease of use and easier to clean and maintain, less parts less to break. I like this forum because it also encourages members to share other things, I’m a lifelong learner and love teaching others as well.

Re: What's Your Story, How did you learn of the Henry Rifle Forum's existence?
I had been wanting a Henry rifle for a very long time, but, life and finances (I'm stingy when it comes to buying for myself) always got in the way. I happened to find a smokin hot online deal on the Henry caliber & configuration I've been wanting and could not pass it up...6 days later I was doing the FFL paperwork.
First thing I did after drooling all over my new Henry 45 LC carbine, was to check on line for a forum and here I am!
