You don’t hear a lot about these straight pull bot action rifle. I have two but seldom shoot them.

something new to me .. .. not a rifle or action I'm familiar with .... impressions and general comments would be appreciated

Found a video that demos shooting one. Hadn't heard of a 7.5x55mm round before. Is the ring with trigger used to decock the firing pin?

Yes. You pull it and rotate it 90 degrees clockwise.

I haven’t shot it in years. Ammo is hard to find and expensive.

They're really accurate. I worked at a sporting goods store when I was in high school. A guy brought one in with a K4 Weaver mounted on it. It would put 3 rounds into one hole at 100 yards all day long. Pretty cool gun.

Very cool gun. I suspect there have been all sorts of different straight pull bolt action guns over the years, prior to the semi-auto's adoption as the standard rifle action.

These were military rifles taken home as the Swiss thought every male should have a firearm (no political comments). The reason I mention this is the owners almost always would remove the buttplate and insert a piece of paper with their name and address. Both of mine had it. I’ve heard stories of people writing to the owner and getting stories about their rifle and in rare cases getting the matched serial numbered bayonet.
