Goex is out of business. No more BP unless you can find it from an offshore mfg.

Glad I did not buy that flintlock….

Im not a scared. I think someone will buy that plant and it may take a while but Swiss and Schutzen will eventually be able to supply shooters. Of course down here it took less than 24 hours for the panic to buy out all the powder that was on suppliers shelves. They had previous training from buying toilet paper

Agreed. Not worried either. I can shoot for a couple of decades yet…

Sorry to hear that, but thanks for the update.

Question for you BP shooters:

How's the overall supply situation in the BP world as far as feeding your BP rifles? I'm still considering a return to BP shooting, especially if BP shooting has escaped some of the shortage madness of the smokeless powder world.

Up here percussion caps are in very short supply. Black powder was ok until this news broke. Now getting scarce. Black powder subs seem to be ok right now, at least until I find my credit card. I actually stocked up big time over the last year since ordering my Pedersoli rifle. There a fine line between stocking up for retirement and hoarding but I guess I am one of those guys people complain about. Whatever. Sounds like the flintlock guys might be hurting for powder if they don’t have much already. Lead balls seem to be ok too and will work good in a slingshot. :)

Powder, is slim at the moment t home.
Was thinking I should get a couple extra lbs., but it may be too late now.
I do have a lb each of the pyrodex, but I haven't used either in a long time. But it will beat nothing.
As to primers, 10's, 11's or the 209's have been unattainable for nearly a year now.

Last time I was at Scheels west of me they had an entire wall of caps. When I was in Texas last year I bought a case 25LBS of 2FG Old Eynsford powder. I also had about 9 lbs of Swiss 3F on hand. When I looked this am the only place that had any 2 and 3 F was Track of the wolf but the price was 37.00 a pound. I see they are now sold out also until next year. If I was to use a Substitute it would be Triple 7. Everyone seem to like how it shoots and cleans up.

From what I can tell T7 would go bang in your flintlock assuming BP in the pan.

How many pounds of T-7 do you buy at a time. I read on the other forum from the guy who built 4 of my guns his accuracy went south after the T-7 sat for one year. When it was fresh his accuracy was as good as yours.
