Skinner Express and fiber optic front sight question

Installed Skinner Express on my Big Boy 357 and found after laser bore sighting that I need a higher front sight because the laser was pointing just above the factory sight. Went to Skinner and ordered the higher .570 sight and after install I find no change at all! Laser still points just above the newly installed .570 sight. Am I missing something here Wouldn't the higher .570 sight post now align with the laser??? Help? Suggestions? Thanks

I do not have any experience with laser bore sighters but you might try old school bore sighting by removing the bolt and putting the gun in a gun vise or something that will hold the rifle without moving then looking at the sights then down the bore to see how they line up on an object about 25yds away.

From what I understand, bore sights are good to get you on the paper. Then, sight adjustments are required for fine tuning.

My Henry front sight measured 0.556 so I ordered the 0.650 tall skinner sight and installed it on my 357 BBS. See my story here ...

So, I take it that the change from the previous setup is to a fiber front sight? When I changed my factory front sight to a fiber on my Marlin 1894, I went with what I thought to be the same height. The POI is about the same of the two. Yet, I have no elevation adjustment, same with both front sights. I may change front sight for adjustment. But, I am happy for now.
