I’ve worn multi-focal contact lenses (tri-focal and distance) for years and they work great. I’ve tried to shoot using glasses and it was not good.

Re: Bifocal Lenses
Agree with Sir Henry on this. I had the same problem with tri-focals. I got some 1.5X & 2.0X shooting glasses that allow for the front sight to be in sharp focus and that made a world of difference in hitting the target. Shooting glasses provide magnification across the entire lens, so you can still get a good picture of the front sight even when looking thru the top of your glasses. They really work for me. Got mine off Amazon for about $8 apiece.

I also use a red dot sight. I am 75 and just can’t focus and feel comfortable with open sights or peep sights.
I use the Vortex Venom, 3 mil red dot sight.
It has such a large eye relief and field of view, that you don't even have to think about sight alignment or proper cheek weld on the stock. Just put the dot on the 10 ring and pull the trigger.
