He stepped out of the woods around 170-175 yds. Right behind a doe, if you look at the one photo, the white spot where the barrel is pointed is him.
Propped on one of the hand grips of the 4-wheeler. One shot, and he dropped on the spot. He was quartering towards me. Put a 143gr ELD-× from a cheap Savage Axis 6.5 Creed
right through that left front shoulder. He toppled like one of the twin towers.Inside spread is 15", just guessing I'd say 165-170 lb animal.

Lots of positives there, nice buck, good shooting and some great photography for us. Your picture with the buck on the ground in the distance brings the whole story into perspective.

I'm pretty sure the OR Dept. of Fish and Wildlife quit making deer and elk. Possibly something to do with the Supply Chain, I've heard........
