Mounted my new reflex sight on my Henry H001T. I think it will be good. I like the sight. I will put a link to it. I also sized 50 rounds of 38-55. Hornady One Shot case lube is a joke as far as Im concerned. Ill never buy another can. Good ole fashion RCBS case lube on an ink pad works great. I the throw the lubed rounds back in the tumbler. Got my Rimrock bullets today. Gonna load up 50 rounds some with 5744 and some with Unique see which ones I like the best.

Interesting take on the Hornady One Shot lube BigAl. I’ve had good luck with it but the largest cases I have used it on is .308 and thousands of .223 when I was shooting competition.

Our old friend John Davies is selling off all his reloading stuff and posted on our local trader what he has left. I’m buying 100 Starline 327 brass and 930 Rainier Ballistics.312 plated bullets at a great deal. Sadly our local trader page may be going away as the owner is both getting hammered with emails and PM’s from members due to all the crazy new firearms laws our state is ramming down our throats and his liquidation of his Spokane business and residence. It’s been a good run for the last 15 years.

Well HAtch I layed the cases in a tray sprayed one side then the other. They sat for about 15 minutes while I mounted my sight. When I went to size them it was way harder than it should be. As soon as I changed to the other lube it was night and day difference. Ive not ever had much luck with any of those spray lubes

Just came up from loading 50 rounds of 38-55 half with Unique and half with 5744. 240 gr Rimrock cast bullet. I then revisited the Hornady case lube and sized and deprimed another 100 cases with it. I used a little more this time. Seemed to work a little better. I also noticed that the price tag on the lid said 8.50. Hmmm cost 15.00 now maybe that’s why I was having issues. :)

Al, when I use the One Shot I pul 50 cases neck up in a loading block and spray them from all four sides. If neck sizing I stop there but to FL size I then turn the cases over in the block and spray the lower part. The One Shot claim it won’t harm primers so any spray in the pocket won’t be a problem. After loading hundreds of cases using this method I agree as I have never had a primer misfire.

Well, yesterday afternoon I loaded these up to try out at the 160ish yd line, but I never got around to it. Was terrible warm and the eyes weren't acting right.

They've all worked at different distances and just curious at a little more.
I did get out early this AM and gave 'em a go.
I'll post a report.

I'm not a big fan of Lee bullet molds but really like the 158 gr. RF bullet. This particular Lee mold runs very well and it was a rainy day so I made a pile of them. I prefer ladle casting but for these I used an RCBS bottom pour pot. They will get powder coated and sized .358". :D

Going out to the shop and case prep some 7x57 brass[F-C]. I used to load this with IMR 4064 powder, but, that is HARD to find, and when you can find it, it's $60+ a lb! Not a chance. After a short trial and error, I've settled on Win 760 as it is working superbly with Hornady 154gr Interlock SP bullets.
Gonna start on this before it gets too hot out there.
These are not hunting rounds[no longer hunt], so, I keep them at mid range at most.

Not today. A few days a go put together a primer/deprimer block for 410 shotshell.
A 2x2 mounted on a pair of 2x4 stubs.
Left side is for punching out spent primers; the right side for installing primers.
The black tray is from an old griddle.
A wooden dowel is used to seat the primers.
