Happened to catch this guy reviewing a new Colt Python and he fires a squib load....doesn't notice and fires another which somehow kicks it out the barrel!
![Surprised :o](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)
You can notice the difference in the next shot with 2 bullets and wonder what that pressure was. Colt must make a tough barrel and lucky it was a 38 Special round and not a Magnum!
![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
Would be interesting to measure the bore and check for bulge.
If you ever notice a drastic change in the sound of a fired round...STOP and check it out. It has happened to me before in 38 Special.
Watch at about 2:50 in the video.

As a gun reviewer I’d be ashamed to post the video. He was so focused on producing his video he was oblivious to the squid. Actually it might have been his day to buy a lottery ticket.

Was it a squib or a fail to fire?

He seemed to blink on the sqib but went ahead with the next round anyway. I am definitely not adding him to a list of reviewers to follow.

I couldn't hear anything when he fired that round, did see a small puff of smoke near the hammer and the next round sounded different from the first rounds he fired. He said " My first Squib load also. luckily it had enough to still go down range so I confidently shot another." Sure didn't look like it in the video but maybe he saw it hit??. Judging by the ear plugs he was wearing I don't see how he couldn't hear that there was virtually no noise from the shot in question.

Hard to tell but I didn't see any smoke come out of the barrel on that squib round. Wonder how well those little ear bud things dampen the noise?
Had my Ruger Police Service Six 357 out couple days ago and that thing is loud but still shoots very well!

Where did he say it was his first squib? I only watched the first three minutes or so, but after reading your post, I went back and suffered through the rest! I read the comments too, and there was not a single mention of the squib. Everyone was too upset by the 3 vents and claiming Colt had “ruined it”.
There is definitely smoke visible on the squib shot, but the shot immediately after definitely did not sound the same as the first few. Why he didn’t stop shooting immediately after not hearing a proper shot on the squib is unreal. He should have emptied the gun, and checked the barrel before firing another shot. Total dumbass move…

Had a friend fill the barrel of a Smith model 10. I didn't see the squib, but I started to notice something didn't sound quite right. By the time I said something, he had emptied the cylinder. Later, he cleared the barrel and used that Smith for several years afterwards.
