I’m watching it mainly because of you guys.
Not me, I don't care who watches. It won't be on my TV.

for me the most impressive driver so far has been Kyle Busch .... not a fan of his but it amazed me how he could get around that track without the lug nut on is driver's front .... right now he's in second place

I made some poppers in the Woodfire grill and took them to our get together down here on the gulf. There is a couple people here that are crashcar fans. We had a good time the wife and I both won 50.00 each on the race and the poppers were a huge hit.

oh well, I'd just settled in to watch the xfinity race when my girl, Hailie Deegan wiped out her Ford on lap 22 .... the replay showed not much she could have done, simply in the wrong place at the wrong time

I call Nascar a high speed demolition derby. I wouldn't waste electricity to turn the TV on to watch.

Well the delays, postponements and start time changes meant I was sitting on a tractor sowing forage oats. Kept a bit of an eye on the live timing but only got to watch 10min highlight packages when I got home.
The highlight packages dont really show how the races unfolded, Will be easy enough to find a full replay of the 500 but not much chance of a full Xfinity replay here in Aus.
Best I can workout SVG's race was he ran top 10 for the first 30 odd laps until someone got turned and put him into the wall, dropped a lap, got it back got back running into the top 10, made a big mistake judging if he was clear and moved up taking out another car and ended up finishing 12th.
Would have to say it was a fairly successful 1st start, one big mistake that cost someone elses race you would have to put down to inexperience. Every other car he has raced be it stock cars, open wheelers or GTs have wing mirrors and he has never raced with a spotter.
Did see one short post race interview with him where he said he really enjoyed it and he could put a lot more trust in the other drivers compared to his few laps in the ARCA race. Admitted he misjudged how much room he had moving up, was totally at fault for the contact and has a lot of learning to do.
It gives me some optimism for his season, you would think he will make the play offs with a road win, if he has that pace in his first start then by the time playoff roll around and he has 20 or so starts under his belt he might just be a genuine chance.

every form of racing has its own set of skills that a driver must master to excel .... the number of formula 1 racers who've successfully crossed over to NASCAR is small .... the same is true for going the other direction .... it will take him a while to get things figured out .... there is no doubt as to his talent so, given time, he'll be fine
