here we go again ....for 2024 Daylight Savings begins one week from today on Sunday, March 10th and sadly it is scheduled to end on Sunday, November 3rd ....as usual, I'm looking forward to it getting here and already dreading ending
Crap. I was enjoying the earlier light but now it’s gone again for a while. I’m a morning person not a night person so the more light in the morning the better.
I think a lot of people enjoy the morning light. The last two times we stayed on daylight time year round people complained about the lack of morning light. That’s why we returned to switching back and forth.
People don’t like the few days after we switch yet they don’t like daylight saving time in the winter either. I like the twice yearly ritual of changing and so do a lot of people. We just aren’t as vocal as the others that don’t.

I don't mind changing my clocks although it was a pain when I was working as I had many clocks I had to change manually and also some radio signal controlled clocks that had a hard time getting reception depending on their location (no manual setting possible).
Now that I'm retired and very rarely get up before 10 I would like the extra hour of daylight in the afternoon although I do not like the idea of young kids having to stand at the bus stops or walk to school in the dark.
Doesn't really matter what I think as WA, OR and CAL have all said they will go to year around DST if Congress ever approves it.

My phone will update on it's own tonight, will change the rest Sunday. The only one that is difficult to change is the aftermarket Pioneer receiver in my Miata. Sometimes I don't change it just leave it on DST and subtract an hour, numbers are so small it's hard to see anyway.

I did it yesterday as a protest to the government about them telling me what time it is. Okay I did it so I wouldn’t have to get up at 2 am when it was scheduled.
This morning I barely noticed the change because I get up the same time no matter what the clock says. It’s bright and sunny today and tonight is when I’ll notice the change.
I get up with the chickens so for me it’s a gradual change.

Here shortly I’m going to spring out of my chair and spring my clocks forward one hour. I will utter a cuss word with each advancement of time

We had a power outage last night. Those clocks had to be sprung forward several hours.
