Mine has some white dirt on it this AM.
'87, I've had it since Dec of '92.
The missing piece in the grill? Well....
That's from hitting a deer at about 20 mph maybe 15.

Re: Farm & Ranch Trucks
This was the '80 Ranger F150 Camper's Special. (Made for the cabover campers that used to be really popular with hunters.) Dual Tanks, Gooseneck 4 Speed with Granny Low. Go Anywhere, and really pull with the 300 Straight Six. Talking to a fellow co-worker one day he said when he worked at a company that made commercial batteries, they had Ford Vans for delivery vehicles. 300 sixes and 302 V8s, everyone preferred the sixes as they pulled better with all that weight in the back of the vans.
"Bubba Truck" had about 450,000 miles on it when I finally sold it, just because a friend wanted it as a first truck for his son and we had the new truck by then, had stopped heating with wood and the Titan would pull the horse trailer and anything else we needed. When we moved five years after selling the truck, the kid was STILL driving the truck.

Ok, here's my old 1983 Bronco with a 351 Cleveland and snow plow.
She still runs great and I think I maybe could grubs stumps with her.
Bought her new and she doesn't owe me anything.
I set her up to run the beaches in Carolina and then I moved to Minnesota.

Re: Farm & Ranch Trucks
I learned how to drive on my father's 1966 Dodge pick up with a slant six and three on the tree. I bought it new and drove it all over for about 20 years. When it got a rust spot on it, he put a sticker over the spot or hole. It was peppered with stickers by the time he ended up selling it to the neighbor's kid.
Being that it lived it's whole life here in the Northeast, it was a rusty, but trusty ride. The salt used in the winter is brutal on vehicles in the northeastern US.

The Ford 300-6 is a good engine. Same with the 292 Chevy. Plenty of Torque.BrokenolMarine wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 2:17 pmeveryone preferred the sixes as they pulled better with all that weight in the back of the vans.
