Anyone got one? I just inherited one, along with a few shotguns.it’s an odd looking rifle.Looks like something eastern block and WW2 era. I know it’s technically a Savage, but all I have seen are tube fed. This one has a mag well. It looks like the stock was originally a tube mag, and then filled/bedded up to the barrel. The barrel isn’t mounted to the stock, as there is a short screw in the stock, and a dovetail in the bottom of the barrel. Not sure if there was a female threaded block that fit in the dovetail or if the tube mag went there.
It’s a bit of a mystery, but it came in a mint 1950s leather scabbard (it’ll look great on one of my old Model 94s), and in a package with a Stevens bolt .410 with magazine, a Sears Roebuck 16 gauge bolt, and a 16 gauge Ithaca Model 37. The Stevens in a Redhead case from the 50s and the Ithaca in another 50s era soft case.
Some of this stuff might even be older than some of you guys!
